Look and language

Read the way that is easy for you, in your language.

Light, dark or the same as your phone, text from Standard to Largest, higher contrast, in Romanian or in English. You choose them at the start and change them any time; they apply to your account, on the phone and on the web.

The Appearance screen: the colours Light, Dark and Same as the phone, then the text size, from Standard to Largest.
The Today screen at the largest text size: the date on three lines and the first task, the lines wrapped and nothing cut off.

From the start

  1. The language

The first screen asks your language: Romanian or English.

  2. Who you are

Then the profile, which fits what you see first.

  3. The look

Then the colours and the text size, with an example that changes as you choose. You change them any time in Settings › Appearance.

Light, dark or the same as your phone.

Three choices: Light, Dark, and Same as the phone, which follows your phone's setting or, on the web, your computer's. The look belongs to the account: on the web it looks the same as on the phone.

Text as large as you need.

Four sizes: Standard, Large, Larger and Largest. The whole app grows with them, and the size set on your phone or in your browser adds on top.

  • At the largest text, lines wrap instead of cutting off a court's name or a case number.
  • On the web, text grows at most to twice Standard.
  • The example on the screen changes as you choose, so you see the size before you pick it.

Discreet mode, when you show your screen.

With discreet mode on, the parties’ names no longer show on screen, and the court’s text opens only at “Show the text”. The case number, your label and the court stay in view; you see a name by clicking it.

You turn it on in Settings › Appearance. It helps when you share your screen or show a case in a courthouse corridor, stays on that device only and turns off when you sign out.

Higher contrast.

With higher contrast, grey text and lines are easier to see. The screens carry labels for screen readers, and the buttons are large.

In Romanian or in English.

You choose the language at the start and change it in Settings › Language. The screens, the explanations and your calendar are in the language you chose; the court’s text and the case details stay as the court published them, in Romanian.

  • A group invite or a client's access goes out in the language of the receiving person's account.

And on radarjust.ro.

The site starts light and has its own switch, in the top bar and in the phone's menu. It is in Romanian and in English, with the same address for each page, under /en/; a page that is in Romanian only, like the buletin, takes you in English to the nearest page that exists.

The look never changes what the court wrote.

Size, colours and language change how you read, not what you read: the court’s text is always the one it published, word for word.

Questions about the look and the language

Does the look stay the same on every device?

Yes: it belongs to the account, so you find it on your phone and on the web. The text size set on your phone or in your browser adds on top of the one chosen in the app.

What does Same as the phone mean?

The app follows your phone's setting or, on the web, your computer's: light or dark, as you chose there.

Can I change the language later?

Any time, in Settings › Language. Your cases, saved items and settings stay as they were.

What stays in Romanian when I choose English?

The court’s text, the courts’ names and the case details: we show them as the court published them.
