How you log time
Start the timer
From the case’s page. One timer runs at a time and keeps running if you close the page; when you stop it, the time is logged in whole minutes.
Or log it by hand
A duration or “From – to”, on the day you worked, with a description and “Billable” where it applies.
See the totals
In Settings › Time, or on the group’s Time tab: for a month or a year, with the billable part.
Your description stays yours.
What you write on a time entry stays in your account or the group: it never shows in notifications or emails. Time logged in a group is seen only by those who should: you and the group’s owners.
Questions about time
What if I leave the timer running?
You see it in the header for as long as it runs, with its case. You stop it and log the time, or discard it and nothing is logged.
Which cases can I log time on?
A case you follow, or one of a group you are in.
Is time tracking in every plan?
Yes. The timer, the totals and the CSV file are in every account, on every plan. Fees, with their rates and statements, are in the Individual and Cabinet plans.
How does the time reach my accountant?
As a CSV file, from the totals. With fees, the accounting file adds the expenses and the fee statements of the period too.
