Journalists

Decisions and press releases, on the day they come out.

For a journalist, Today starts with what the Constitutional Court, the High Court and the Ministry of Justice published today, then with the subjects you follow and the new cases found on them. Without following anyone by name.

The News screen: a new insolvency case for a name followed, a hearing tomorrow and a ruling in a case, with the filters All, Unread, Cases and Sources.
The Sources screen: the High Court of Cassation and Justice, with the fields chosen, the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Justice and its drafts in public debate, all on.

How you start

  1. You choose “Journalist”

At “Who are you?”. The Constitutional Court, the High Court and the Ministry of Justice are on from the start, and what they publish shows in Today.

  2. You follow a subject

A case subject at a court: you hear of the new cases on it, without following a name.

  3. You search what moves

Subject, court and “changed this week”, in a single search.

The sources, first in Today.

The first block shows today’s decisions and news from your sources: the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the High Court as they are officially published, new questions sent to the High Court, the Ministry of Justice’s press releases and draft laws. Then:

  • the subjects you follow, with the new cases found on them;
  • what changed in the cases you follow;
  • their hearings today and tomorrow.

A High Court decision reaches Radar Just after its official publication, weeks or months after it was given.

A subject, not a person.

The app offers once to follow a subject: a case subject, for instance evacuare, at the court you choose. You hear of every new case on it, without following anyone by name.

The Parties and subjects screen: a name followed at every court, with 8 cases found, a new insolvency case and the automatic follow switches.

What moved this week.

On a fresh search, the app offers Subject, Court and “Changed: this week”, already typed. You put them together in one search of the hour’s 20; past 1,000 results, it tells you the list is incomplete and how to narrow it.

A name, only with a reason.

Searching by name stays in the box, as for anyone. To follow a name, you first confirm the reason, because a person’s name is personal information. Criminal cases do not appear in search: you follow them by number only, once you confirm your interest.

The important ones by email, the rest in the app.

For a journalist, email starts with rulings, new hearing dates and appeals in the cases you follow. What concerns you directly from a source comes as a notification, in the daytime; the rest you find in Today and in News.

  • In the web app, as a browser notification once you allow it; on an iPhone, once you add the app to the Home Screen.

The title, the link and the date, not the full text.

For each item we keep the title, the link and the date, and send you to the official text, where the institution published it. We do not copy decisions or rewrite them.

Questions from journalists

Which sources can I follow?

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (RIL and HP decisions and the new questions sent to it), the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Justice and the National Union of Romanian Bars. You choose them in Settings › Sources.

Can I follow a subject at every court?

Usually at one court. A subject at every court often passes 1,000 cases, beyond which the list is no longer complete, and a cut search cannot become a watch.

Do criminal cases appear?

Not in search: Radar Just neither searches nor lists them. You follow a criminal case by number only, once you confirm your legitimate interest in it.

Does anyone learn what I follow?

No. What you follow and what you search is seen by your account alone.

Add your first case.

The number on the summons is all you need. In the browser now, on iPhone and Android soon.

You make your account with your email and a password, or sign in with Google or Apple. While it is in testing, Radar Just opens with an access code.
