Tasks

What is to be done, next to its case.

A task sits on its case, with its day and the person who does it. The hearing note keeps what happened and what to prepare, and links lead to the case’s papers, wherever you keep them.

The office group’s Tasks tab: the Add a task button, a task from yesterday marked Overdue, one today at 12:00 for the colleague, each with its case and court, then Done.
The Today screen: first My tasks, with an overdue task, and the line to the hearings with no time logged, then today’s hearings, with the court, the panel and the place on the list.

How tasks work

  1. Write what is to be done

On the case’s page, “Add a task”: what is to be done, the day and, if you like, the time. With no time, the task is for the whole day.

  2. Choose who does it

For you, or in the office’s group. In a group, the task goes to the person responsible for the case, unless you choose someone else.

  3. Tick it off

When it is done, mark it “Done”. Anything past its day and not done shows as overdue, first on the list.

Your tasks, every morning.

On Today, “My tasks” shows what you have to do today and what is left from the days before, the overdue ones first. A group’s tasks have their own tab, Tasks, on the group’s page.

  • Whoever does the task gets a reminder the evening before, at 19:00, and that morning, at 07:30, as a notification and, if you like, by email.
  • The reminder says only that you have a task and on which case; what it says you read in the app.

From a change, straight to a task.

A new hearing or a ruling becomes a task in one tap: “Make a task” on an update suggests the title, for example “Prepare the hearing of 15 October”, and you choose the day.

Radar Just computes no legal deadlines: the task’s day is yours.

A group case’s history: the new hearing of 10 November, with Comments and Make a task under it, then the colleague’s comment.

The hearing note.

After the sitting, a note for that hearing: what happened, what to prepare and who was there. Yours alone or the group’s, with the name of whoever wrote it.

  • “To prepare” then shows next to the hearing, in Hearings.
  • On the evening of a hearing day, at 19:00, a notification asks whether you want to note what happened; you turn it off in Settings › Reminders.
  • The note goes into the client report only if you tick it.

The case’s papers, a click away.

On a case, or on one of its hearings, you keep links to where the papers are: a folder in the cloud, a filing, a proof of payment. Each with its title, yours alone or the group’s.

We keep only the title and the address, never the files.

In a group, everyone knows what is theirs.

The group’s owners and members add tasks and give them to colleagues; whoever gets a task ticks it off, even as a viewer. Each person’s tasks, done, overdue and open, go into the group’s monthly report.

You choose the day.

A task has the day you give it: Radar Just computes no deadlines and never tells you what to do in a case. It keeps your list up to date, next to the case, and reminds you in time.

Questions about tasks

Are tasks in every plan?

Yes. Tasks, hearing notes and links on a case are in every account, on every plan, the free one included.

Do my colleagues see my tasks?

Not the ones for you: only you see those. A task put in a group everyone in the group sees.

Do I get reminders for a task?

Yes, if you are the one doing it: the evening before, at 19:00, and that morning, at 07:30. The notification and the email never carry the task’s text.

Can I keep files on a case?

No. You keep links to where you already keep them, each with a title; the files stay there.
