Security and privacy
What you follow stays yours.
Radar Just shows you only what the courts have published. What you do with it (the cases you follow, your notes, searches, clients and time) belongs to your account and only you see it. What you put in a shared group its members see too, and a case you give a client access to, they see as well.
How we handle your data
Each account sees only its own
The cases an account follows for itself, its notes, labels, searches and saved items are seen by no other user. A shared group's cases are seen only by its members, and a case a lawyer gives access to, only by that client.
No names in notifications and emails
A notification, on the phone or in the browser, or an email about a change says only what happened, the case number and the court. You read the parties’ names, your label and the court’s text in the app.
A name, only with a reason
To follow a person's name, you first confirm it is yours, a party you represent, or that you have a legitimate interest. The same for a criminal case.
An office’s data stays its own
Clients, time, fees and registers never show in notifications or emails. In a group, members see the clients, and only owners see rates and fee statements. We keep no personal numeric codes (CNP).
Encrypted on the phone
What the phone keeps for reading without signal is encrypted, with the key in the phone's secure storage, apart from the data. Signing out wipes it.
Your password isn't stored
You sign in with your email and password, or with Google or Apple. We never keep the password itself, only a fingerprint it can’t be rebuilt from. The code by email confirms your address once, at sign-up, and helps when you forget your password; we never ask for it when you sign in. After a few wrong tries we wait longer between attempts, and when you change your password we end your other sessions and email you.
Two-step verification, if you want it.
On top of your password, we ask for a 6-digit code from the authenticator app on your phone when you sign in. You turn it on in Settings › Two-step verification, by scanning a QR code.
- You also get backup codes, for the days without your phone; each works once.
- When you sign in with Google or Apple we do not ask for the code: that account has its own verification.
- A group’s owners can ask every member to use it: anyone without it sees the group, but not its cases.
- In Signed-in devices you see where your account is open and sign out one device or all the others. When you change your email address, we write to the old one that it changed.

Export and deletion, in the app.
In Settings you download everything we keep about your account, in one file. From there too you delete your account: the app tells you first what is deleted, and the deletion starts on the spot.

Questions about data
Who sees which cases I follow?
No other user, except the members of a shared group, for the group's cases, and the client you give access to a case. Protocore sees what you follow (not your notes or labels) in order to run the service, as the privacy notice says.
Where is the data kept?
On servers in the European Union, in Frankfurt. The details, including the providers, are in the privacy notice.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
The account, your settings, the cases you follow, your notes, saved items and searches are deleted. What you added and wrote in a shared group stays the group's, without your name. What else remains, and for how long, is on the account deletion page.
What if I do not have the phone with my authenticator app?
Sign in with one of the backup codes you got when you turned on two-step verification; each works once. Then, in Settings › Two-step verification, make new ones.
Can I see where my account is open?
Yes. In Settings, Signed-in devices shows where your account is open: the app on an iPhone or Android, or a browser, and when it was used. You sign out any of them, or all the others.
Can I find out what data you keep about me?
Yes. In Settings you download the account's full export. For any other request about your data, write to us at contact@radarjust.ro.
