Deleting your account

How to delete your Radar Just account (a Protocore service), and what happens to your data. Deleting is free and needs no reason.

First, if you want, your data

Download it beforehand: Settings › My data. After deletion we cannot recover it.

In the app

  1. Open Settings: on the phone, tap your initials at the top; on the web, click Settings at the bottom of the side bar.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Read what is deleted and what stays, then tap Yes, delete everything.

The steps are the same on iPhone, on Android and on the web (app.radarjust.ro). You need an internet connection.

By email

If you can no longer get into the app, write to contact@radarjust.ro from your account's address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm by email when the account is deleted, within one month.

What is deleted

  • Your email address, your name, profile details and phone, your settings and your open sessions.
  • The cases, names and subjects you follow, with their labels and notes and what you confirmed about a criminal case.
  • Your searches, the lists of case numbers you imported, what you saved and your personal groups, the sources and laws you follow, your “Less of this” answers, the relevance profile and your contact requests.
  • Your reminders, the calendar link, the registered phones and browsers, and the access code you got in with.
  • The record of what we sent you.
  • Your place in shared groups, with your settings and confirmations there, and your requests to join a group; a group where you were the only member is deleted entirely.
  • The access you gave clients to your cases, with your messages, and the access lawyers gave you.
  • All of it, both on the Radar Just server and in Protocore's admin database.
  • A name only you watched is deleted at once, together with the cases found only for it.

What stays

  • The data of cases other users also follow: it is public, from portal.just.ro or, for the High Court, from www.scj.ro, and carries no trace of you. A case nobody follows any more is deleted after 90 days; a criminal case, within a day.
  • In a shared group that remains: the cases, names, subjects and panels you added and the group notes you wrote, with “former member” instead of your name. If you are the last owner of a group with other members, you hand it over to a member or delete it first.
  • The hearings already in your calendar, if you subscribed: they no longer update; remove the subscription in your calendar app.
  • The backups, until they expire: at most 7 months. The daily snapshots of the server's disk: at most 14 days. If the Radar Just server's database is restored from its nightly copy or the one taken before an update, your deletion is repeated before the server starts again.
  • The fingerprint (hash) of the deleted account's id, for 400 days, only so that the deletion is repeated if a backup is restored. It does not contain your email address.
  • The emails you wrote to us, for as long as we need to answer you and to show that we acted on your request.
  • The messages about your contact requests the Protocore team received in its admin chats, for as long as it needs them to answer you: they are not on the server, and those older than 48 hours cannot be deleted automatically.

Want to delete only some of it?

  • A case: on its card, Stop following.
  • A name or subject: Settings › Names and subjects.
  • A shared group: on its page, Leave the group.
  • Access you gave a client: on the case, End access.
  • Access a lawyer gave you: on the case, Give up access.
  • Something saved: tap the save mark, then Remove from Saved. A personal group: on its page, More › Delete the group; what you saved in it stays in Saved.
  • The calendar link: Settings › Calendar › Stop the link.
  • A phone or a browser: there, Settings › Sign out.
Deletion cannot be undone. If you sign in again with the same address, you start over with an empty account.
