Clients and fees

Each client, with their cases and fees.

A client’s record gathers their cases, the access you gave and the contracts in the register. On the web, the fees, the expenses and a period’s fee statement are made from the time logged and what you agreed.

A client’s record, a person, yours alone: the Edit button, the linked case, with a hearing today at 11:00 at the Bucharest Tribunal, then Link a case and Report for the client.
A fee statement for September 2026, marked “Informative document. Not a fiscal invoice.”, with the client, the office, the period and the first line of time, with its hours and rate.

How you start

  1. Add the client

    A person or a company: the name and, if you like, the tax ID (CUI), email, phone and a note. We never ask for or keep a personal numeric code (CNP).

  2. Link their cases

    From the client’s record or the case’s page, “Link to a client”. Time and reports then add up by client.

  3. Set the fee

    On the web, on the client’s record: how they pay, for all their cases or for one.

A client’s record, on one page.

The linked cases, each with its latest change, the access to cases given to their address, and their contracts and powers of attorney from the register. You write or call them right from the record.

  • “Report for the client”: all their cases, one after another, a page each, in one document.
  • Your clients only you see; a group’s, everyone in the group.

The fee, as you agreed it.

Four kinds, for all of a client’s cases or for one:

  • hourly rate: the billable time times the rate; in a group, if you like, with each person’s own rate;
  • fixed fee, once or in stages;
  • monthly retainer, from one month to another;
  • success fee, as an amount or a percentage: we record it as you agreed it, never computed from the case’s outcome.

VAT is only a label on the statement: no VAT, or 21% added. Nothing fiscal is computed.

A case’s expenses.

Stamp duty, an expert or a translator, travel, copies: each with its day, its amount and whether it is billable. The supporting document you link; we keep no files.

An estimated stamp duty goes in as an expense marked “Estimate”, until you know the amount paid.

A period’s fee statement.

Last month, this month or other days: the billable time, the fees and the billable expenses, with the totals and VAT. The statement stays as you made it; you print it or save it as a PDF, and mark it sent or paid.

It is an informative document, not a fiscal invoice: it is not numbered and is filed nowhere.

For the accountant, one file.

“Accounting file (CSV)” gathers a period’s time, expenses and fee statements, for your invoicing software or your accountant.

In a group, the money is the owners’.

A group’s clients every member sees. Rates, statements and totals in money only the owners see and set; a member sees their own time and expenses, never a rate.

A client’s details stay with the office.

A client’s name, address, phone and fees never show in notifications or emails. Only those who should see them: you, for your own clients; in a group, the group’s people and, for money, the owners alone.

Questions about clients and fees

Where do I keep fees?

In the web app: fees, expenses and fee statements are kept there, on the client’s record and on the case’s page.

Which plan are fees in?

In the Individual and Cabinet plans and while you try them; during the launch, in every account. The clients register is in every account, on every plan, and what you have entered stays kept either way.

Is a fee statement an invoice?

No. It is an informative document, marked as not being a fiscal invoice. You make the invoice in your own software, from the statement or the accounting file.

What do you keep about a client?

Only what you write: the name, the tax ID, the email, the phone and the note. We never ask for a personal numeric code (CNP) or keep one: thirteen digits in a row are refused in any field.
