Common questions

How do I make an account and sign in?

You make your account with your email address and a password of at least 10 characters. We send you a 6-digit code once, so we know the address is yours; after that you sign in with your email and password only. You can also sign in with Google or with Apple, and connect them to your account in Settings › Account › Sign-in methods.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, choose “I forgot my password”: we email you a 6-digit code, and after it you choose a new password. The account’s other sessions end and we email you that the password changed; if it was not you, write to us at contact@radarjust.ro.

I don’t get the code by email.

The code comes only when you make your account or when you forgot your password. Look in Spam or Promotions: it comes from Radar Just. Check the address you typed. You can ask for a new code once a minute; use the one from the latest email.

I am not a lawyer. Where do I start?

At the start, at “Who are you?”, choose “I have a case, mine or my family’s”: the app shows you your case in large type, with each change told without jargon. The steps, from the account to the first case, are in Getting started.

How do I find my case?

Most simply, by its number: it is on the summons or on any paper from the court, in the form 91234/3/2025. You type it in Follow a case or paste the case’s link from portal.just.ro. Without a number, you look for it in Search by your name, the court and the year.

What is a “termen”?

The day and time when the court hears the case. In Radar Just you see it in Today and in Hearings, with the room and the panel when the court wrote them. The time on the list is approximate: cases are called in the order of the list. Other court words are in the glossary.

What does “pronunțare” mean?

The moment the court gives its ruling. Sometimes it does so on the day of the hearing; sometimes it puts it off to another day, and then the new date appears on the portal. In Radar Just, the rulings you are waiting for are shown apart: they are not hearings you go to.

What does “amânat” (adjourned) mean?

That on that day the case was not heard to the end and has a new hearing date. The court writes the reason, for example “lipsă de procedură”, meaning someone was not summoned as the law requires. Radar Just shows you the court’s text, what it means and the new date.

What do fond, apel and recurs mean?

They are the stages of a case. At the fond, the case is heard for the first time. Apel and recurs are the ways to appeal: whoever is not satisfied asks for a new hearing, at a higher court. Radar Just shows the stage in one line on the case card, and the glossary explains them at length.

I can’t add a case, or the app doesn’t find it.

Check the number: it has three parts split by “/”, for example 91234/3/2025, or paste the case’s link from portal.just.ro. For a case at the High Court, choose the court “Înalta Curte de Casație și Justiție” or type a number with court code 1 (in the form N/1/YYYY). If the portal does not show the case yet, we follow it and tell you when it appears. If you already follow 25 cases, stop one you no longer need: Stop following, from its card.

I have many cases to add.

In the Follow a case sheet, choose “Add several cases”: paste the text with the numbers, up to 500, or choose a .csv or .xlsx file (on a phone, from Files or Drive). The app follows as many as the account’s limit holds and shows you what became of each number.

I don’t get notifications.

On a phone, check in its settings that Radar Just may send notifications, then in the app, in Settings › Notifications. In the browser, check that you allowed notifications for app.radarjust.ro. With quiet nights on, notifications between 22:00 and 07:00 arrive without sound, and focus modes can hide them.

Can I get notifications on the web?

Yes. The web app asks you once whether it may show notifications in the browser; if you agree, you hear of a change as on a phone. On an iPhone, you first add the app to the Home Screen (in Safari: Share › Add to Home Screen). Emails come too, as long as they are on. Both say only what happened, the case number and the court: never the parties’ names.

The app shows something different from the portal.

We read each case at intervals, according to how close something is in it: from about every 10 minutes, when it has a hearing today or a ruling awaited, to once a day. A High Court case is read through the service the court publishes for programs, which answers only early in the morning, between 03:30 and 06:30: what changes there reaches you the next morning. The portal, or for the High Court its own site, has the last word. If the difference stays, write to us with the case number and the court.

I changed my phone.

Install Radar Just and sign in as before, with your email and password, Google or Apple: everything you follow is in the account. On the old phone, Settings › Sign out.

How do I get my hearings into my calendar?

Settings › Calendar: a subscription link for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, which updates on its own, or an .ics file. If the link reached the wrong place, make a new one: the old one stops working.

An explanation looks wrong to me.

The court’s text, quoted beside it, has the last word. Write to us with the case number, the court and what looked wrong: we fix the rule for everyone.

When the portal does not answer

The courts' portal has outages too. Radar Just then shows you the last good reading and retries on its own; you need do nothing.
