How an office works

  • Radar Just has no office accounts: each lawyer has their own account, with their own email address. What they follow for themselves only, with their notes and labels, no other user sees.
  • The office works together in a shared group: a list of cases several people follow, each with their role (owner, member or viewer).
  • A lawyer can give a client read-only access to a single case.

Who is responsible for what

  • For the data Radar Just keeps (the accounts, the shared groups, the clients' access, the notifications and the emails), the privacy notice names the controller: ATLAS BRIDGE TRADING LTD (section 1). The legal basis of each processing is in section 3.
  • The office decides which cases go into the group, whom it invites and with what role, who is responsible for each case, which client gets access to which case, whether that client sees the parties' names, and what the lawyer writes to them.
  • When you send a report or an update to a client or a colleague, you choose what to send and to whom; professional secrecy stays in your care (the Terms of use, section 7). You make the client report on your own device and send it through the app you choose; it does not go through Radar Just.
  • If your office needs a data processing agreement (GDPR, Art. 28), or you want to settle the roles together for the way you work, write to us at contact@radarjust.ro: we send the agreement on request.

Who sees what

WhoWhat they see
The group's owners and membersThe group's cases with their data, who added each case and who is responsible for it, the group's label and note, its activity, and the other members, with their names and emails (and the phone of those who show it to their groups).
The group's viewersThe same cases and the same activity; the other members, by name only (and the phone of those who show it to their groups).
A criminal case of the groupSeen only by a member who confirmed, themselves, how they are connected to it.
A client you give access toThat case only: its number, court, subject and stage, its hearings, rulings and changes in plain words, the parties' names (unless you hid them), the lawyer's messages, their name, office and bar (if given) and phone (if shown to clients). Never your notes, labels, groups, colleagues or other clients, nor the lawyer's email address.
The lawyer who gives accessOnly the client's address, masked, and when they accepted; never the client's own cases.
Each lawyer's profile details (the bar, the office, the town, the areas of law)They write them, and we do not check them. Only they see them; their clients, only the office and the bar. The group's members do not see them.
Each lawyer, aloneTheir own labels and notes, searches, saved items and the cases only they follow.

How long we keep it

WhatHow long
Each lawyer's account and everything in itUntil they delete it.
A shared group, with its cases, notes, activity and the members who leftFor as long as it exists: an owner deletes it.
An invitation to a group (the masked address and its fingerprint)Until it is accepted or expires (14 days).
A request to join a group, by a linkWhile the link lasts (at most 30 days); it also goes with the account.
Access for a client, with the lawyer's messagesWhile it lasts, and 30 days after it ends; an invitation not accepted, until its link expires (7 days; 15 minutes for a code shown in the office). It also goes with the lawyer's account.
A case nobody follows any more90 days, then it is deleted with its changes.
Backups and disk snapshotsBackups, at most 7 months; the daily snapshots of the server's disk, 14 days (section 8).

Export and deletion

  • Each lawyer downloads, in Settings › My data, everything we keep about their account, with their groups: their role, settings, what they added, the notes they wrote, their part of the activity, the invitations they sent and the access they gave clients, with their messages. In the web app, also the cases they follow and the hearings, as a table (CSV).
  • An owner of the group downloads the group's data from its page (Members › The group's data): its cases, with the group's label and note and who is responsible, the parties, subjects and panels it follows, its people and their roles, the invitations, the activity and the access the owner gave clients, in a JSON file; its cases also as a table (CSV). A criminal case is in it only if the owner confirmed their own link to it. The access other members gave clients stays in each one's own export.
  • A member leaves the group with Leave the group, and an owner can remove them. What they added and wrote stays the group's, with their name; if they delete their account, it says “former member” instead.
  • An owner deletes the whole group from its page, with Delete the group: the group, its notes, activity and invitations are deleted, and whoever also follows a case personally keeps it. The last owner of a group with other members hands it over or deletes it before deleting their account.
  • A client's access is ended by the lawyer (End access) or the client (Give up access); it is kept 30 more days, then deleted.
  • Each lawyer deletes their account in Settings › Delete account (Deleting your account).
